ABOUT US

The Horsham Film Society, supported by Horsham District Council, was formed in 1967  with the aim to bring to Horsham the best in World Cinema. Through the enthusiasm and support of the members the Society has grown over the past 50+ years to become a popular and important part of cinema presentations in the town and thrives despite increased availability of these films on main TV channels and via online media.

HFS shows films of high merit from around the world which are not always on general release. Once a season we also show a classic film from earlier years.

Each month members are able to rank the film shown, and each spring vote for their choice of films for the following season.

Before our first film, and after our final one, we invite members to join us for a get together over drinks and nibbles whilst at the AGM, in early summer, members have the opportunity to comment on the Society’s past and future plans.
